If you prefer not to use the HOLD function (or to use it manually), it is possible to switch from the default automatic HOLD to manual HOLD on the scale at any time.

Switch between automatic and manual HOLD mode by holding the HOLD button after starting the scale. When switching to manual HOLD the scale will display OFF, when switching back to automatic HOLD the scale will display ON.
